Show Notes

A couple of pieces of news first up this week.

Firstly, Grants Uncovered has been named in the Top 60 Podcasts in Australia by Feedspot! Thanks to everyone who has been tuning in and also for your reviews. It’s really helping get the news out about grants available across Australia, and how grant applications can be more competitive and have a better chance of success.

Secondly, as part of my work through the podcast, I’ve been asked to jump back into The Grants Hub for a while as Grants Strategist. This is a great opportunity to be able to bring everything together that I’m seeing within the Grants Directory, along with the conversations I’m having and trends I’m noticing through this Grants Uncovered Podcast. The Grants Hub and Grants Uncovered are two concepts I’ve launched to help spread the word about grants, make them more accessible, and share some of the passion I have for grants. It’s a perfect alignment for them to be working in sync.

This episode is focused on grants available for big ideas. There are some very cool grants available at the moment to give you the space and funding you need to pursue a concept or dream that’s sitting in the back of your mind. It could be in an area such as:

  • Social inclusion

  • Community

  • Business

  • Health.

Here are the three grants I’ve featured in this episode, but it’s just a few of what you’ll find available within The Grants Hub’s Grants Directory. We’re heading into a season when more of these types of grants become available, so make sure you don’t miss out on a chance to pursue your dream. The long Easter weekend tends to get people thinking and dreaming, so consider these grants as a sign that you should be taking action on that dream!

Spark Grants from the Fay Fuller Foundation

This grant really grabbed my attention this week. The way the Foundation has written their content is really engaging. Shoutout to this Foundation for writing in a memorable way. When someone like me reads hundreds of funder websites every week, it takes a bit for something to stand out as much as this grant did. Nice work!

The Fay Fuller Foundation says, “We want to fund you to explore your big idea, the one that’s taken up residence in the back of your head. An idea that could change the way we respond to mental health, shift us from response to prevention, or strengthen individual or community capability to build better mental health and wellbeing for the South Australian community.”

What a great opportunity!

Spark Grants of $40,000 are available for South Australians, are currently open and close 16 April 2021.
