For-purpose, bootstrapped founder, podcaster and mum of three (one who’s a HeartKid).

* This started as a blog five years after my son was born with Congenital Heart Disease, for those who know what it’s like to ‘live life with a lump in your throat’. Now, I write about online business, family, travel and still a bit of health adversity.

Dream Big // Take Risks // Be Real // Give Generously

I launched The Grants Hub at 39 weeks pregnant and grew it while navigating the world of congenital heart disease. I have run online businesses from Canada, Europe and a caravan while travelling the east coast of Australia with my young family, twice.

I love to write, travel, cook, drink great coffee, read, create and live by the beach.

Hey, I’m jessie!

Like me, you might love (or really want to get into) remote work. You’re convinced about the freedom it brings and can’t think of anything better than being able to take work away with you, instead of being restricted to 4 weeks of annual leave each year.

You might also know the rollercoaster of being a bootstrapped (self-funded) business founder – that crazy mix of experiences, often all in one day.

You might love creating tech solutions to problems and launching an MVP, while the next second you’re turning on Bluey for your five-year-old and working out what to make for dinner.

You might have had some major life adversity thrown in (I definitely know what that’s like), which adds to the rollercoaster but changes your perspective on both life and business for the better.

“A fantastic story with very tangible and real takeaways. For me, what I have taken from your story is that it is not so much about the goal or an end state. It’s about the journey and how you take on the challenges, who you travel with, that you should reflect, and absolutely celebrate and be grateful for what you have created.”

“Wow - you write beautifully and what an inspirational story and THANK YOU for the insight. I started my business less than three months ago and it is both exciting and nerve shattering at the same time. I will be putting your ten points on our blackboard wall and remembering them along the way.”
